Hello friends,

Life takes us through many experiences. Some are worth cherishing. While some are not. Those are the ones you may want to erase out completely or wish we had a second go on things. Life does give second chances, but it won't erase out the good and bad experiences. It's better that way since, we need those to build a better character, take better decisions, be a better person.

If you have driven around on unknown terrain you may know what it's like to be clueless. It terrifies us due to the uncertainty that lies ahead. Although the terrain may look a bit familiar, there are potential surprises that could make us take an unexpected turn. That turn could be for the best or for the worst.
Hence we rely on GPS and maps to be sure of where we are and where we are going.
But unless the software is updated we still could be running the risk of meeting potential dangers.
These dangers are not only for us but also a potential risk for ones we love.
So what should we do?

  • Keep the software updated
  • Keep our eyes on the road
  • Watch out for signs, warnings and guidance.

The word of God teaches us to

  • Keep our eyes on Jesus
  • Have His word constantly updated and refreshed in our minds.

We can thus manage to drive through the long and winding road of life, not necessarily unscathed or safe. But definitely victorious.

'Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. '
Hebrews 12:1-2 NIV

One of the prime skill we need in our life is to focus on Jesus, learn to hear, know His will and obey it.
I understand, focus is hard especially since we have complicated our life with many activities. Some of them are important, while some are pure distractions and can lead us into being unproductive at the end of the day.

I desire to bring a balance in my life. It's not God on one hand and balancing the rest on the other hand.
My aim is to schedule things around God by knowing His will and not getting burned out doing my own thing. I am looking forward to memorize scriptures and confess them in my life.
Learning is a life long process. It's never to late to start. It for age 0 and above.
